Gian had said from the beginning that he wanted our honeymoon to be relaxing, something we don't get much time for back at home. When our honeymoon was booked we received a $200 spa credit, so we decided to use that yesterday- and we skipped our trip to Chichen Itza.
We had a couples massage here at the hotels spa and it was amazinggggg. The ladies did a great job.
The day for the most part was really rainy so we just chilled around the hotel. We slept in, had our massage, then relaxed in the indoor pool.
Today we had a very action packed day- we went on our tour to Isla Mujeres. We were a little bummed that the dolphin tour was booked, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out we could still sign up for the snorkle tour. We boarded our bus, then headed to the pier to board our catamaran. It was more of a party cruise and it was soooo much fun.
Gian and I got a little sea sick heading towards the island, but once there we hopped onto the smaller boat and went off to our snorkle tour. They drove us out a bit farther and then it was time to hop into the water.
We saw so many cool fish, starfish, groupers, snappers, and these tiny little white and yellow fish that were in a school surrounding me!!!! We bought an underwater camera and I can't wait to develop the pictures and see how they all came out.
It did start raining which sucked, and it rained pretty bad for a while- so we headed back to the Palace resort on the island, had lunch, took a nap, then re-boarded the ship to go shopping.
We hit up the downtown area of Isla Mujeres and bought some suvenirs. It was cute, but we were a bit rushed.
After that we went back aboard our ship and had a PARTY back to cancun. The crew on the ship were KA-RAY-ZEE!!! They were shooting tequila, passing out a ton of beer, and playing a bunch of music.
We had a ton of fun, even some old guys were shooting tequila! haha.
Its our last night at the hotel, so we've taken the night a little easy. We went to see the caribbean show the hotel had on tonight, Gian got to see a lot of butts since the girls were very scantily dressed, lol. But it was a good show.
We're headed to bed now, on our last night here. The resorts been great but we're excited to get back home and start our married life together. :) yep, our MARRIED life. :)
