This is our first post. We thought it would be a good idea to document each day or so as newlyweds. We're on our honeymoon at the moment, and wanted to be sure we didn't forget anything...
So here's our way of writing down our memories and also sharing them with our families, friends, and the giant world that is the internet. :)
A brief re-cap:
October 18th-
Giancarlo & Vanessa exchanged vows.
We became Mr. & Mrs. Sanyer. Our wedding was beautiful!!!! Perfect, unforgettable. We had an amazing time!!!!!
Here's a quick picture:

I cannot thank everyone enough for coming, helping out, and making our day memorable.
Thanks for sharing with us in our special day.
October 19th- we arrive in CANCUN, MEXICO!!!!
Gian's wonderful parents giffted us our honeymoon at the Sun Palace in Cancun.
The resort is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! The hotel staff is AMAZING and it's simply PERFECT for our honeymoon.
October 20th- we decided to stay in and explore Mexico on our own.
We went all the way to downtown Cancun via the public bus and shopped around at Market 28- it's sort of like a giant flea market.
We took the bus back to the 'touristy' area of Cancun. They've got a Rainforest Cafe, a Hardrock Cafe, CocoBongos, Dady O's, Pat O'Brians, Bubba Gumps, and Senor Frogs. Lots of stuff to see, lots of things to do. We had a blast with it just being the two of us, walking randomly down the streets of Cancun.
October 21st- we took our first tour this day. We went to the Mayan ruins known as Ek' Balam. Ek' Balam was only discovered about 11 years ago- and has just finished undergoing it's renovations. The archeologists have made the city look just like it did in the old days. It was amazingggg to see what the Mayans were able to build and create with such limited technology. We climbed to the top of the Acropolis (the biggest building there) and admired the view. It was fascinating.
Our tour guide also took us through old Mayan Villages where people actually live. Gian and I bought a hammock for our new home, and a few other souvenirs. We learned about the Mayan gods and their love for 'turtles'. (inside joke, lol)
Here's a picture of us at the Acropolis at Ek' Balam:
WELL...Mr. Sanyer has fallen asleep at my side, we'll be back later to post more :)
toodles!
